"MAJOR MOVIE STAR" BEGINS PRODUCTION
Prinicipal photography has begun in Shreveport Louisiana on the feature film "Major Movie Star," starring Jessica Simpson ("Blond Ambition") and directed by Steve Miner ("Texas Rangers"). The film co-stars Vivica A. Fox ("Kill Bill, Vol. 1"), Aimee Garcia ("7seventy 5ive"), Olesya Rulin ("High School Musical 2"), Keiko Agena ("Gilmore Girls"), Cheri Oteri ("Shrek 3"), Jill Jones ( TK), Andy Milonakis ("The Andy Milonakis Show") and Ryan Sypek ("Wildfire").
Jessica Simpson stars in this comedy about an actress who flees her pampered Hollywood life and finds herself an unwilling recruit in the U.S. Army Reserves. Simpson plays Megan Valentine, "America's Sweetheart," a popular film star who joins the Army after she discovers her boyfriend is gay and her accountant/cousin stole millions of dollars, leaving her penniless.
Director Steve Miner, whose film credits include the very successful "Halloween H20, 20 Years Later," the comedies "Soul Man" and "The Ant Bully," the thriller,
"Lake Placid" and "Texas Rangers, helms "Major Movie Star."
"Major Movie Star" is the latest film from Nu Image/Millenium Films, which has developed, financed and produced the upcoming films "Blond Ambition," "John Rambo," "Cleaner," "Mad Money"and "The Contract."
